About BIAS

BIO

As a climber kid, there was always a need for unobtainable gear. At age 14, I got my hands on a vintage Pfaff industrial sewing machine and started to design and build my own custom kit. After finishing secondary school in Montana, I attended Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, BC. After graduating, I worked in set lighting in the Canadian film industry for the next decade. My proximity to Squamish climbing was quite ideal at the time!

Throughout my trials and tribulations of being my own product tester, I've continued to expand my sewing skills and construction methods. I've now taken my design and production capabilities full on and I officially started BIAS in 2025. Everything is made by me in my small workshop in Bozeman, Montana. Thanks for taking a look around.

All of my designs are a starting point and are adaptable to a variety of user specific features depending on what you want/need.
